For his first exhibition at that’s what x said, Louka Perderizet presents Sugar Love Show, a photographic project focusing on Sugar Love, a drag queen based in Brussels with over 30 years of drag under her belt.
The project, spanning over a year and a half, shines an intimate light onto her life in and out of drag. From her performances, backstage preparations, makeup and outfits, to her everyday life.
With the series, Perderizet wants to portray the real life of a drag queen, both on stage and outside, inviting the audience to connect with Sugar Love on a deeper level.
Louka Perderizet is a photographer based in Brussels, currently finishing his bachelor degree in photography at ESA 75 art school. Perderizet has been working with photography since he was a child, using the medium to express his emotions and share his personal experiences. Often working on multiple series at once, the artist enjoys the process of pursuing his series overtime, giving him the opportunity to evolve with them and look at them from different perspectives.
