For her exhibition Altère mon ego (“Alter my ego“) presented at that’s what x said from April 28th to May 28th, photographer and visual artist Laetitia Bica envisions the body as the fundamental basis of our inner and outer societal challenges. Laetitia plays with notions of fluctuation and transition, beyond the body, in all its ambivalence.
Working from the premise that any socially constructed image is limited, thus limiting, Laetitia Bica seeks ways to break free of these frames in an effort to extend the field of possibilities, to reveal Humanity in all its breadth, in all its freedom. The artist captures a key moment in a story that is in the process of shifting and becoming, like a visual synthesis of possible and necessary imaginaries, allowing us to project ourselves and rethink our battles.
