Zine Workshop

In this zine workshop, intersectional questions merging diaspora and queerness will be explored, inviting participants from one or both communities to be in conversation. The focus lies on the individual’s own identity and positionality in Belgium society, responding to Lisa Ijeoma’s Traces of Dawn. Being in a safe space will lead us to interrogate belonging and displacement in our heteronormative world order. A mixed-media approach to zine-making will be used to respond to our personal narratives, in order to ultimately encapsulate a freeing and fluid exploration of self beyond categories.
