This year, the For All Queens! festival will be closing at the gallery to celebrate queer African love!

To mark the occasion, and to coincide with the finissage of Yema Gieskes‘ exhibition, For All Queens! is creating a space for reclaiming traditions, rituals and practices that have become inaccessible to those who do not follow the rules of African respectability. Come and celebrate love, whether with your partner(s), your friends or even on your own! We invite you to open up the space to love letters, in line with Yema Gieskes’ research into the link between African queerness and her cultures, without sacrificing either her queerness or her Africanism!

Dress code: traditional wedding or party dress.

You may kiss your bride…..mwuah!
