As part of our series of events surrounding Moon in Vertigo by Clara-Lane Lens, we invited Collectif Les Bastards to organise a conference on gender identities. For the occasion, four of their members; Nina Champs, Isuf Kovaci, Mathilde Bosquet and Sergejs Mikaeljans will come and talk about their own experiences.
Nina Champs will talk about her experience with trans identity and with being a transgender woman living with HIV in Belgium. Isuf Kovaci will discuss his experience with being gay coming from a Muslim background. Mathilde Bosquet will introduce the subjects of femininity and queerness from the perspective of a cis woman. Sergejs Mikaeljans will also discuss gender queerness and traditional societies (Caucasus and Eastern Europe), present their flagship project Hurler à la Mer, as well as their collective and what they aim to achieve.
