Illustrator and graphic designer, Florence Akyams interprets the scenes and figures of her day to day in a poetic manner. Her style is vibrant, quick and raw. The patterns and characters converse with each other in a coloured and heterogeneous universe.
Having studied an STI Arts Appliqués course in France and then a Bachelors at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels, Akyams naturally uses illustration as her chosen form of expression. Her pieces evoke a feeling, a lived emotion. The characters are built intuitively through the overlaying of colours and patterns, creating scenes where they are brought to life in a bubble of colours.
